Tailorbird Sewing Co is a place built one stitch at a time.
At Tailorbird Sewing Co., we provide tailoring and alteration services, sewing education, and sewing station rentals in a studio designed to feel secure, welcoming, and supportive.
Our work is guided by craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the belief that sewing is a skill meant to be shared. Each stitch contributes to a better fit, a stronger piece, and a space where creativity and confidence can grow for our customers, our team, and our community.

Mother In Law and Daughter Team, bringing technical experience and fashion marketing together
Anna is the founder and designer behind the studio, a space rooted in craftsmanship, tradition, and storytelling.
With a background in journalism, advertising, and public relations, she spent years working in fashion marketing in New York and New Jersey. After becoming a mother, her creative path shifted. One Christmas, her husband gave her a sewing machine — and she finally began sewing.
She started by making simple pieces for her children: baby clothes, headbands, slippers, and bags. For her daughter’s first birthday, Anna designed and handmade a traditional Korean hanbok, which sparked a deeper passion for meaningful, handmade design. What began as a personal creative outlet grew into something she wanted to share with others.
Anna believes that, like threads woven into fabric, our lives are shaped by connection. Through each piece and every class, this studio exists to honor tradition, creativity, and the joy of making together.
Lydia has over 30 years of experience in sewing and alterations. What began as a practical skill became a lifelong passion, shaped early by watching her mother make clothes at home. She trained and worked in tailoring shops across California, New Jersey, and Texas, mastering everything from classic machines to modern industrial equipment.
For Lydia, tailoring is more than a profession. It’s a joy. From everyday alterations to wedding gowns and costumes, she takes pride in helping people feel confident in clothes that fit perfectly. Now based in Denver, she looks forward to sharing her skills, craftsmanship, and love of sewing with the community.
